The landscape is a harmonious
interplay of winding footpaths and shady groves, where peacocks roam freely amongst
palms, cycas, hibiscus and roses, where Barbary figs and citrus trees flourish.
Guests have the choice of three gardens: the villa garden, the old garden and
the orange blossom garden. In the still Sicilian afternoons or the warm
summer evenings you might like to take a seat by the roses, or perhaps you would
rather a background of heady jasmine perfume.
You may, instead, prefer
to stroll amongst the olive groves or along the ancient royal roads leading to
the top of Monte Giambo where you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The breath-taking
view encompasses the Bay of Cornino from Erice to Marsala … and the old
people say that in the limpid days of long ago you could even see the coasts of
Africa.
